Changes coming to diaper covers

I like makin' stuff. That's my basic approach to life. The thing is, it is hard for me to keep making the same stuff over and over and over. So, on two different occasions in 2009, I spent months "behind the scenes" attempting to outsource the sewing of my diaper covers. And I learned that no one can make them quite like I do.
That's not a bragging statement, but it has to do with how they are made. I know by feel how I stretch the binding around the edge of the cover to have them come out pretty consistently. Now "feel the stretch" may work for yoga, but it's not so great for giving instructions to other stitchers. They need measurements. Easing binding around curves is another thing that never translated well. I gave up on outsourcing because the results we not up to my standards.
As time has gone by, I am still feeling the need to get some help with sewing. I'm going to be working on different methods for constructing the covers, so that they can be reasonably made by someone other than me. That means they will change. Not in the next month, but probably after that.
I hate to mess with a much-loved item, but this mama is getting rather burned out on the repetition. Of course my goal is to come up with something at least equally good, maybe even better. I'll be looking for testers in the next few months. If you might be interested, please contact me with your little one(s) ages and I'll fill you in on the details.
If you are a fan of the covers exactly the way they are now, you may want to stop by at the next stocking or two. I've also put some currently stocked covers on sale.
