Try it on and see!

A new deal for in-stock diaper covers - 10 day money back return policy! This gives you a chance to try the cover on your baby (over a clean diaper please) and see if you like the fit. If not, fasten it closed and send it back. But if you do love it, and I think you just might, keep it, love it, use it...
This return policy does not extend to customs, as these are sewn up exactly how the customer chooses, no matter what fabulous or unlikely mix of fabrics and colors they pick. There may never be another person who would want the exact same thing. That's the beauty of customs!
I'm making plans to be able to add more instock in the near future...so check back.

On stocking custom slots

In the spirit of getting organized this spring, I want to explain how I'm going to be stocking for custom slots. It's a little awkward, but I like to use HC's system to track all the custom choices I offer.
Previously I had opened at stocking time and just kept track of quantities as orders came in, and then closed the system when I had as many orders as I felt I could handle in 10-14 days. That was not transparent to customers--no one could see my list, so no one knew when I would close off orders. I'm going to try a different method this time.
On April 14, I'm going to have "open ordering" from 9-11:30 eastern. I'm trying to have a range of time open so people don't have to be too rushed about making sure they pick the choice options they mean to pick.
If the slots sell out during that time (and they are for individual diapers), I'll add more. I suppose I could put in a huge quantity like 50 for each item, but that seems a bit scary to me! LOL
The downfall of doing it this way is that I may get more orders than I can complete in two weeks, so it may become longer between stockings. We'll see how it goes on April 14th and I'll adjust from there.

Keeping it (a little more) simple

I've been doing some market research, and it seems I've got a couple of products that are not quite like anyone else's. Plus, people like them. But before I get into that, let me back up.
So, for a while now I've been offering 5 products in multiple styles, with choices of about 100 fabrics, 25 trim colors, and 25 snap colors. Try and compute how many possible variations that is! Does that make your head spin? It does mine! As order volume has grown and grown, keeping up with all of this is getting too crazy. I get myself confused, and I am a naturally organized person.
Therefore, its time to streamline. Starting in April, I'm going to stop offering some of my products, even though they are very nice. What's going?
--the Pocket Jammer
--the FNF (Fishnoodles Fitted)
So if you must have them, the last stocking of these custom slots will be March 27. This is hard to do, but it must be done.
Starting April 6, I'll be stocking Fishnoodles covers and AIOs only.
Since the covers are by far my best sellers, I have to think that's where the greatest need is. I want to offer mamas all the custom choices for their covers in both Snapper and Wrapper styles. Plus I'd like to be able to offer some instock as well, for folks who want it quick or want to see what it looks like in finished form before buying.
In addition, the Solo Flyer AIOs have been getting raves and are unique in how they are made. I'll keep offering those as customs too.
I hope this change will allow me to provide the best possible products and customer service.

The vote for most popular is...

...the front snap version of the Snapper diaper cover with gussets. Congratulations, Snapper, you've been selected as the winner for this week's stocking! Available in two prints that really say "spring" to me - boats and little blossoms.

I went back and looked at all my orders for the last 7 months and tallied up what the most popular custom choices have been in terms of item and styling. I'll be selecting from among those for some good candidates to make for in-stock, in addition to the custom slots.
I've had people contacting me, asking whether I had anything ready to go right away so they could try me out. The answer was no, but now it will be yes. I'd rather say yes, wouldn't you?

Juicy new stuff

I think I have a fabric addiction. I now have enough fabric and supplies in-stock to make diapers for the next 10 years. Look at the new goodies I just got in...a rainbow of new binding colors for diaper covers;

new woven prints for Wrapper and Snapper diaper covers;

new knit prints for the covers and the Fishnoodles two-step fitted diapers.

Aren't these purty? Can't wait to sew 'em!
I need about 10 more sewing hours in each day to use all that I have or I need to do a serious de-stashing. Hmmm...looks like I'm having a fabric sale soon!

Orders off the hook!

Lately I've been getting an order or three each day!
As of tonight, I am booked with customs through the entire month of February. I am going to be closing "open ordering" tomorrow. I will stock custom slots again at the end of the month, for items to be made in March.

New Pics!

Just added some new pics sent to me by four mamas kind enough to share. It's fun to look at all these darling babies, and very helpful for showing the fit to other cloth diapering parents. The first gallery has photos of infants ages 0-12 months in their Fishnoodles and Painted Patootie cloth diapers. Age 13 months on up are on a second page. The pages are getting so long, I'm thinking I may need to split them up yet again. If you don't have a really fast connection these might take forever to load. I thought about deleting older ones to save space but I don't want to have to do that!
